Choosing 2-3 series at a time that intertwine to illuminate the connections and rich histories behind themes ranging from vibrant Western narratives and multicultural influences to the beauty of wildlife and pressing social issues that resonate with shared human experiences.

Her artistic style is bold and expressive, defined by rich layers, captivating textures, and vibrant colors that breathe movement and depth into her creations. She embraces a loose approach that combines Contemporary Symbolism, Abstract, and Expressionism, allowing each piece to unfold organically as the subject matter guides her on an exciting journey of exploration and imagination.

Lyssa Lovejoy’s artistic journey has been profoundly influenced by her father, Jimmy Lovejoy—A Black American Western artist celebrated for his larger-than-life 3 dimensional paintings and bronzes. She draws inspiration from other talented artists, including Joanne Bird, Deanna Persson, Candace Hunter, and Arthur Wright, each of whom has shaped the spiritual, social, and emotional fabric of her art in unique ways.

I relish exploring diverse art forms, each offering fresh avenues of expression. No matter what medium or subject I choose (usually it chooses me),  my goal is for each piece to weave its own narrative. To realize this ambition, I embrace various projects while ensuring a harmonious thread runs through them all, enabling the creative sparks within me to ignite and flourish.
